(anyone that thinks a didn't summarize that section of the video properly, please feel free to let me know, but I think I got the gist of it) At that point he terminated the sponsorship. At some point, his contact at the company disappeared, and S3d started to try and control the content of his channel, telling him he had to produce more S3d specific videos and less general content. Meanwhile S3d wasn't updating their software, making the difference between S3d and the free options less and less.

However, as time passed he learned that most of what he liked about S3d was actually doable in free slicers since the free options were becoming better through regular updates. Tldr: Back in the day, the software was much better than the free options, he liked the software and was using it already anyway so when S3d contacted him about a sponsorship, he agreed.
